Board of Elections protest hearing
Thank you to everyone who attended the Hamilton County Board of Elections hearing today. Showing up is important, and the Board Chair mentioned she appreciated citizen participation.
The BOE held the hearing regarding the protest to the Cambridge zoning referendum. Woeste’s attorney argued that the petition should not be permitted on the March ballot, and our attorney presented arguments as to why it should go on the ballot. In the end…
1) The Board members decided to collect more information from both parties by 11/21 and will hear the case again on Tuesday, December 3rd at 9 am.
2) One of the Board members decided to recuse himself from the case because his legal firm represents Columbia Township
