WCPO News Coverage

The WCPO coverage is live on their YouTube channel now. One thing we want to point out is that Dan Bryant speaks about “having to break eggs to make an omelet.” It is a little out of context – he is actually quoting from the offensive closing remarks by commissioner Jim Obert at the Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission meeting where he said, “…to make an omelet, you have to break a few eggs.” Meaning, the people that live in the community are the eggs? And the parking lot is the omelet?

And then there is Mike Lemon, Columbia Township Administrator, riffing again on an agreement made in 2005 about use of the zone and the “people choosing it.” That was 14 years ago and we get it, but does he honestly and truly believe the drafters envisioned a 76 space vehicle inventory asphalt parking lot as an appropriate “mixed-use” transition from commercial to residential? If he does, then let’s propose putting in one of those suckers next to his home in Mariemont.

  1. Very great post. I simply stumbled upon your weblog and wanted to mention that I have truly loved browsing your weblog posts. In any case I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I’m hoping you write once more soon!|

  2. I love how they keep throwing out that residents approved the Comprehensive Plan 14yrs ago when the land use designations in it were only recently updated…AND the only “representative” from Madison Place South on the steering committee was none other than Jim Woodall – The General Manager for the dealership. Conflict of Interest much?
